This summer I took a Shibori workshop during the Moore Alumna reunion. I've always wanted to learn more about shibori but never had the opportunity to actually do it. I understood the principal process and always thought that it was something that could relate to my work and thanks to this workshop, finally I realized how much so.
I took to the process like it was something long lost in my artistic arsenal. Getting back into my studio I found it easy to explore on paper rather than fabric for now. During the Philadelphia Open Studio Tours, I worked on the paper pieces.
This is the scarf I made at the workshop. The rest of the photos are what happened in my studio.

These are gorgeous and I wish I thought of this!
ReplyDeleteI could make them forever! Please explore the process and share! I've been doing some eco printing also and need to combine the two.
